Integration of Makerspace Philosophy in Programming and Service Delivery at Winnipeg Public Library

This full day pre-conference session will explore the direction that WPL has taken when offering makerspace programming and services for all ages across the system. The morning will include a series of formal presentations which will explain the integration and delivery of makerspace programs including approaches to staff training and awareness, as well as training workshops that have been provided to external groups of educators and library staff. Plans are underway for a physical makerspace to be built at Millennium library, and plans for the physical space as well as the technology and equipment to be included in this space will be discussed as well.
